Usage Type EPC

Usage type EPC provides the basic portal capabilities of SAP NetWeaver, and provides more flexibility when implementing a portal where the full enterprise portal capabilities are not needed.

●      Portal: Offers a single point of access in a Web-based interface to SAP and non-SAP information sources, enterprise applications, information repositories, databases and services across organizational and technical boundaries—all integrated into a single user experience.

●      Guided Procedures (GP): Offers a framework allowing business expert to create reusable components and model people-centric business workflows with them. At runtime, business users can initiate a process from a process template, and follow its execution until completion. It helps end users to understand their work contexts better by clearly defining their individual tasks, at the same time providing them with different views on the overall workflows, and enabling them to effectively contribute to collaborative processes using groupware functions, such as offline interactive forms and ad-hoc process steps.

●      Universal Worklist (UWL): Any task, be it workflow, event resolution or otherwise, can be broken into smaller subtasks on a task-by-task basis.
