Classification Status of a Document With Regard to a
Taxonomy
If a document is contained in a data source of a classification index, it has a classification status.
Classification Status of a Document

Classification Status |
Description |
|
To be Classified |
The document should be classified in the current taxonomy. When you create a document in an indexed data source, the system initially sets the document to this status. The document is displayed in the folder Documents to be Classified.
In the classification inbox you can classify a document and at the same time leave it in the folder Documents to be Classified. The document retains status To be Classified, even though it is already classified in one or more categories of the current taxonomy. Status To be Classified does not mean that the document is not classified in any category of the current taxonomy. Rather, it means that the document still should be classified, possibly in further categories. For more information see Classification Inbox. |
|
Never to Classify |
The document should not be classified in the current taxonomy. The document is displayed in the folder Never to Classify. |
|
Classified |
The document is classified in the current taxonomy in one or more categories (see Classification Status of a Document with Regard to a Category). |
If multiple taxonomies are assigned to the classification index, each document has its own classification status for each taxonomy. For example, if you classify a document in a taxonomy, it can still be in status To be Classified in other taxonomies.
