Procedure

       1.      In the left-hand side pane, from the System Landscape Selection dropdown box, choose a system landscape.

Note

The Local System Administration option sets the system where the NetWeaver Administrator you are using is running.

       2.      From the systems selection list, choose the system that you want to monitor. You can choose only one system.

       3.      From the Instance dropdown box, choose an instance. You can choose to monitor a particular instance, or all instances in a system.

       4.      From the Cluster Node dropdown box, choose a node. You can monitor a dispatcher, a server, or all nodes of the selected system.

Note

If you have chosen to monitor all instances, at this step, only the All option is available. You cannot choose between a server or a dispatcher.

       5.      From the Time Period dropdown box, specify a period for which the performance data is generated. Your options are:

       Preset period

Choose a reporting period of the last 1, 8, or 24 hours.

       Custom period

Specify a different period.

The Set Current Date and Time option sets the current time as the end of the reporting period. You have to specify the beginning of the reporting period.

The Apply option confirms your custom reporting period.

       6.      To view a report, choose the Reports tab page, and then from the Report box, choose a report.

To view a chart, choose the Charts tab page, and then from the Chart dropdown box, choose a chart.

Result

The report or chart opens.

The report or chart displays limited or no data in the following cases:

      The chart or report comprises server monitors and you use it to monitor a dispatcher.

In this case, no dispatcher monitor data is available.

      The chart or report comprises dispatcher monitors and use it to monitor a server.

In this case, no server monitor data is available.

      You have set the No History mode and no historical data is stored for monitor values.

In this case, the chart displays only the current values of the monitors it comprises. For more information about monitor history settings, see Configuring History Properties.

      You have only recently set to keep history of monitor values.

For both charts and reports, you can toggle between chart view and table view.

      Chart view

Presents the monitored data in the form of a chart.

      Table view

Presents in tabular format the name of each monitor and its values for the specified period.

To toggle between views, in the right-hand side corner, choose the Chart View or the Table View option respectively.

When viewing reports, choose the Go to Detailed Chart link above each chart or table to open a large-size chart in a new pane. To go back to the report, choose the Reports tab.
