Monitoring Embedded Processes
Numerous monitoring functions for business and technical aspects are available for embedded processes.
The business analysis deals with questions such as:
· Who did what and when?
· Which objects were processed?
· What was the processing duration for specific objects?
The technical monitoring provides, for example, the following information:
· Which workflows contain errors?
· What caused the errors?
· What was the processing status over the last 24 hours?

The processes to be monitored are defined and configured.
The following IT process applies to the usage type AS ABAP:
1. Monitor work items.
Numerous functions are available for monitoring and analyzing. You can, for example, display work items with missed deadlines, determine the workload of employees for a specific time period, or analyze the processing duration for specific work items.
2. Analyze workflow log.
The workflow log provides all the information about a selected workflow. It displays, for example, which steps have been executed and which steps are waiting to be processed. You can also see exactly who was involved in processing the workflows, which tasks each person executed and which objects they processed. A view containing technical details provides additional information that you can use to support troubleshooting tasks.
