Network Security
When using the BI,
take note of the information under
Network and
Communication Security.
We recommend that you use firewalls for
controlling the network traffic in your system landscape. A firewall comprises
hardware and software components that determine which connections between
communication partners are permitted. With a firewall, only the set
connections can be used; all others are blocked by the firewall. For more
information, see
Using Firewall Systems
for Access Control.
To secure RFC
connections or connections via internet protocols, we recommend that you use
Secure Network Communications (SNC) or Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) as your
security method. For more information, see
Transport Layer
Security.
