Inserting Information Objects into a Structure
Use
You can insert any information objects that belong to the same area as the structure (for example Training).
Prerequisites
You are in the Knowledge Workbench.
You have opened the structure in which the information objects should be inserted in the Structure Editor.
Procedure
To insert an information object in the structure:
- Place the cursor where the information object should be inserted.
- Choose Edit ®
New Info Object ®
Before Node ... or After Node ... or As First Subnode ... or As Last Subnode ...
The Find Info Object dialog box appears.
- Choose how you want to search for information objects.
- Choose Continue.
- If you chose By Searching for a Folder, choose the folder to be searched in the Select a folder dialog box.
- If you have chosen By Searching in the Local Repository, choose the local context to be searched in the Local Context dialog box.
- If you have chosen By Searching for Info Objects in the Knowledge Warehouse, enter suitable search criteria in the Find Info Objects in the Knowledge Warehouse dialog box.
- If you have chosen By Searching for a Folder in the Knowledge Warehouse, enter suitable search criteria in the Select A Folder dialog box.
The information objects found are displayed.
- Choose the information object to be inserted in the structure.
- Choose OK.
Result
The information object is inserted in the structure.

Only references to the information objects are inserted. No physical copies of the actual information objects are created.
The structure is inserted as a structure include.

The advantage of structure includes is that the screen does not change in the structure when the information objects are displayed.
