Use

This procedure defines attribute values that are automatically assigned to new information objects. You do not have to maintain so many attributes when you create new information objects if you define default values.

  1. Choose Settings ® Default Values ...
  2. A dialog box appears in which you can specify default attribute values for information objects of the different info object classes in the various areas.

  3. Choose an area.
  4. The info object classes of the chosen area are displayed.

  5. Choose an info object class.
  6. The information object attributes of the chosen info object class are displayed.

  7. Choose an information object attribute.
  8. Choose Specify a default value and enter an attribute value in the corresponding text field.
  9. Note

You can choose the option Special Default Value for some attributes, such as Person Responsible, and then enter your user name as default value.

You cannot maintain a default value for the Status if the authorization procedure is activated.

  10. Save the default values with OK.
