Detailed
Navigation
The Detailed Navigation iView in the navigation panel provides links that can access any folder and page as of level 1 through 3, depending upon the configuration of the top-level navigation bar.
Detailed navigation allows you to navigate through the hierarchy of the folders.
· Clicking an arrow beside a node, or the node name, expands a workset or folder to reveal its contents.
¡ If it is the final folder in a particular chain, one of its items may be launched.
¡ Your administrator may have set a property that only allows a node to expand to reveal the contents, and does not automatically launch a page.
¡ If a page is launched, it is not necessarily the first page in the folder. Your administrator may have set a property that defines a different page as the default presenting page.
· To navigate to a specific page, start with a specific node and keep expanding the subsequent folders until you reach the folder containing the content you need.
¡ Clicking any of the links displays either a page and its iViews, or a single iView, in the content area.
¡ A green square icon beside a tree item indicates a Drag&Relate-enabled object.
· The tree structure shows the path that you followed to the information currently displayed in the content area. Any node can be an entry point or a return to a previous level in your navigation path.

You can use the Back button of your Internet browser, the top-level navigation bar, and detailed navigation, as well as the breadcrumb path, the Back/Forward links, and the History menu in the page title bar to return to a previous page; the TLN and DTN adjust themselves accordingly.
· If you are an end user with certain administrative permissions, clicking an item in the DTN may launch the Portal Catalog, allowing you to access the relevant editors for performing your administration tasks.
