Function documentation Extraction Mode for the InfoSpoke Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

An InfoSpoke can extract data in two ways:

...

       1.      Full mode (F): Here the respective data for the selection criteria for the InfoSpoke is transferred from the data source into the respective destination.

       2.      Delta mode (D): Only the records that were newly added since the last extraction are transferred in this mode. This is possible for the source objects, InfoCubes and ODS objects.

Functions

The extraction mode can be switched at any time from full to delta mode. You can only switch from delta to full mode as long as you have not yet loaded any deltas.

Note that with delta extraction from ODS objects or InfoCubes into DB tables, the indicator Technical Key should be set. See also Extraction into Database Tables.

Delta administration:

Using the pushbutton Delta Administration, the requests available in the open hub data source are displayed, along with information regarding whether the requests have already been read or whether the open hub destination has not yet been delivered along with it. In the latter case, the requests can be found under the category Requests Not Yet Read. The delta administration offers you the following functions:

·        You can deactivate the delta administration. Then an additional delta request is not possible. At the same time, the status of all source requests that have already been read is reset to Not Yet Read.

The delta administration is also deactivated if one of the following events occurs:

§         A request that has already been extracted is deleted in the open hub data source.

§         A request that has not yet been extracted is compressed in the open hub data source (InfoCube).

·        You can reactivate the delta administration. Then a delta request is once again possible.

·        You can use the context menu to Delete Requests. In doing so, the request is deleted from the delta administration and can be requested anew (Repeat). You may want to do this if a request does not arrive correctly in the target system.
