Use

You can use the user management configuration tool in the portal to download and upload data source configuration files. For full details on changing configuration files, see Customizing a UME Data Source Configuration.

Procedure

...

       1.      Download the configuration file:

                            a.      In the portal, choose System Administration ® Support ® Support Desk.

                            b.      In the table that is displayed, choose User Management.

The Portal Support Desk: User Management page is displayed.

                            c.      Under Test and Configuration Tools, choose Status of UME Properties.

                            d.      Choose the Configuration Download tab.

                            e.      Choose Download Files and choose to save the files on your file system.

                              f.      Unpack the file and choose the configuration file that you require.

       2.      Create a copy of the file.

Recommendation

When naming the copy, make sure to use a name that is supported by the upload function (see below).

       3.      Open the copy of the file in a suitable editor and modify it as required.

       4.      Upload the modified file:

                            a.      Choose System Administration ® System Configuration ® UM Configuration ® Data Sources.

                            b.      Choose Browse and browse to the modified file.

                            c.      Choose Upload.

Note

The upload function only uploads files with the following characters in their name:

§         "0" to "9", "A" to "Z", "a" to "z"

§         Period (.), underscore (_), percent sign (%), tilde sign (~), minus sign (-), parentheses (())

Spaces are not allowed.

                            d.      Choose Save to save the entire configuration (that is, data from all the tabs). Otherwise choose Reset to undo all data you have entered on this tab.
