Scheduling Broadcast Settings
You can schedule broadcast settings for queries, Web templates and workbooks. Distribution using e-mail or into the Enterprise Portal then takes place at a specific time chosen by you or when there is a data change.
You have defined a broadcast setting. For more information, see Precalculating and Distributing Queries and Web Templates and Precalculating and Distributing Workbooks.
System administration has adopted the process type Trigger Event Data Change into the process chains for data loading. For more information, see Including an Event Data Change in a Process Chain
The system administration has defined background jobs that enable the scheduling of broadcast settings for preset times. You can find more information under Defining Times for Broadcast Scheduling.
1. If you have just created a new broadcast setting, choose the Schedule button in the lower area of the BEx Broadcaster.
If you would like to schedule a broadcast setting from the list of the available broadcast settings in the upper area of the BEx Broadcaster, choose Scheduling in the context menu of the desired broadcast setting.
2. You have the following selection options:
¡ Execution with Data Change in the InfoProvider.
Select the desired InfoProvider.. The system distributes the document as soon as there is a data change in this InfoProvider.

This option is only available to you if the system administration has adopted the process type Trigger Event Data Change into the process chain for data load (see Prerequisites).
¡ Execution at a Preset Time:
Highlight the desired time. The system distributes the document according to your selected time.

This option is only available to you when system integration has defined the appropriate background jobs (see Prerequisites).
¡ Scheduling in SAP Background Processing:
Select Create New Scheduling and specify the desired start date and time. If scheduling is to occur periodically, select Periodic and specify the interval (for example every 2 weeks). The system distributes the document according to your time.
If you have already defined scheduling in SAP background processing for this broadcast setting then it will be listed here. You can delete them as needed.

Scheduling in
SAP background processing is only available when you have authorization to
create background jobs. For more information, see
Authorizations to Work
with a Query in the Authorizations for the BEx Broadcaster
section.
3. Choose Transfer. You will see the broadcast setting in the upper area of the BEx Broadcaster and will also see the entry Yes in the Scheduled column.
You have scheduled a broadcast setting. The document will be distributed at the selected time or with a data change.
