Setup Packages 

Use

You can use this function to create setup packages to help install the client on the mobile device. You can create setup packages for individual users or for groups of users.

The packages are based on standard installation procedures, and contain the applications and (where applicable) data for the user and parameter sets you defined.

Prerequisites

●      See Mobile Device Installation Using Setup Packages.

●      You have performed the necessary configuration steps (see Allowing the Creation of Setup Packages and Creating the DB2E Add-On for Setup Packages or Installing MaxDB for Setup Package Creation).

●      You have prepared the creation of the setup packages (see Creating Setup Packages, and the section Preparing for the Creation of Setup Packages).

●      You have the required authorizations for the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

Activities

The function enables you to perform the following activities:

●      Defining and generating a new setup package (see Creating Setup Packages)

●      Displaying the status of available setup packages

●      Downloading generated setup packages
