Transferring Global Table Contents: Currencies from R/3 Systems 

Use

With this function, you can transfer all tables relevant to currency translation from other R/3 systems connected to the BW. In detail, these include the following tables:

TCURC       (Currency codes)

TCURF        (Translation factors)

TCURN       (Notations)

TCURS       (Exchange Rate Spreads)

TCURT        (Description of the Currency Code)

TCURV       (Exchange rate types for currency translation)

TCURW      (Use of exchange rate types)

TCURX        (Decimal places of the currencies)

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose the source system tree in the Administrator Workbench under Modeling.

       2.      Using the context menu on your  R/3 sources system, choose Transfer Global Settings. You get to the screen Transfer Global Settings: Selection.

       3.      Under Transfer Global Table Contents, select the Currencies field.

       4.      Under Mode you can select if you only want to simulate the upload or if you want to update or copy the exchange rates. Existing records are updated with the Update exchange rates option. Table TCURR is first deleted and new records are then loaded with the Recopy exchange rates option.

After uploading the data from the csv file, the OLAP caches are invalidated so that the new data is used for translation.

       5.      Choose  Execute.
