Activated Service Types 
To activate a service type, Select the link Activated Service Types (1).

Only one list of active service types can be configured.

The screen will show a table labeled Activated Service Types at the top, and buttons in a list at the bottom, labeled Edit, and View. The column labels are:
· Unique ID -- the unique identifier for the list of active service types
· List of activated service types – the list of active service types, separated by commas
· Also initially displayed is the View “SCServiceTypes” panel that shows the list of service types that are currently active for collaboration on the portal.
With the box check to the left of the Unique ID of the activated service types list, select the Edit button to modify the list. The Edit “SCServiceType” panel appears. Perform the following steps:

1. Review the list of activated service types.
2. Check the boxes adjacent to the service types you want to make active.
3. Uncheck the boxes adjacent to the service type you want to make inactive.
4. Select the OK button to execute the change to the active list and to return to the Activated Service Types display window.
With activation of a service type, you can use it in the Calendar portal component. An additional configuration step is required to activate a service type to be used in the Collaboration Launch Pad. See Configuring SCF Services for Collaboration Launch Pad.
The service types that are required for collaboration on the portal are defined.
