Managing Documents in BW 
In the
Documents function area of the Administrator Workbench, you choose the
Administration function to
· Determine the storage type as a physical storage medium for the documents that you want to create.
· Put documents (including online documentation for metadata objects) into the indexing queue, and schedule the processing of this queue as a regular job, so that the documents are included in the search.
· Check whether the properties for the documents for InfoProvider data have been generated from the characteristics that they were supposed to be generated from.
Document management applies to documents from all the document classes. These functions are needed and useful
· at the start of a project,
· after the BW system has been upgraded,
· and during a project
· To be able to use the indexing and search functions in the online documentation, you need change some settings after the first installation. You can find additional information in the Business Information Warehouse Implementation Guide (IMG), under the node Documents for BW Objects ®

· To include SAP Content documentation in the online documentation generated for metadata objects, it must be installed in plain html http format for static help and using a Web server. You can find additional information in the Business Information Warehouse Implementation Guide (IMG), under the node General BW Settings ® Settings for Displaying SAP Content Documentation.
Different functions from the following areas are available on the tab pages:
· Tab Page: Content Repository
· Tab Page: Indexes for Searches
· Tab Page: Generated Properties
· Tab Page: Online Documentation
Additionally, the following special functions are available in the toolbar:

Document Modeling Workbench |
You can use this function to get an overview of the document model. The document modeling view only provides information. When creating a document, the document class is already preset; LOIO and PHIO classes are displayed as technical information. See Creating Documents |
