Making Functions for Asynchronous Collaboration Available 

Use

The Knowledge Management and Collaboration capabilities of SAP NetWeaver include functions for asynchronous collaboration. These functions allow users to exchange information on an asynchronous basis in the portal, inside and outside of rooms.

For example, these functions include tasks, discussions, attachments, feedback, quick polls, and reviews. SAP delivers most functions for asynchronous collaboration in completely configured form. There are configuration options for tasks and discussions.

Procedure

●      Make the functions for task entry and task management available.

●      Make discussions for documents and folders and discussion groups for rooms available.

●      Make forums available in the portal. The forums application includes functions for administration, moderation, and participation in forums. Forums are particularly suitable for community scenarios in the portal. You can also include forums in rooms.
