SAP Sales DemoCube  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

The SAP DemoCube provides you with a demonstration scenario, which shows the structure of typical sales reports. With the SAP DemoCube, it only takes a short while before you can use the Business Information Warehouse, for example, to analyze the profitability, the sales revenue, or other key performance indicators for the demonstration company.

After activating the DemoCube, you can analyze the individual elements of the SAP DemoCube (InfoCube, update rules, InfoObjects, and so on) in the Administrator Workbench. The queries and data that are also delivered, show, for example, how a sales director would analyze the various success factors for his sales organization.

The elements for this InfoCube are only intended as an example, and should not be used for setting up scenarios. The technical names for the elements of the SAP DemoCube always start with "0D_" and are designed exclusively for use in the SAP DemoCube.

Note

The queries described here are examples. Besides the listed queries delivered by SAP, you can, of course, also create new queries that are based on the SAP DemoCube and the data that is delivered with it.

The predefined queries can be called up in the Business Explorer:

In the Business Explorer Browser

  1. Start the Business Explorer.
  2. Choose the SAP Demo Channel by clicking on the channel name on the left of the screen.
  3. On the right side of the screen, you see all the workbooks that are in the channel you have chosen. In general, the workbooks are grouped together in clusters.
  4. Select the workbook that contains the query you want. Choose Forecast to display a forecast of the results area for the queries that are contained in the workbook.
  5. Choose Execute if you want to open the workbook in the Business Explorer.

In the Business Explorer Analyzer

  1. Start the Business Explorer Analyzer.
  2. In the standard toolbar, choose the symbol for New...
  3. You get to a selection screen of all available InfoCubes in the Business Information Warehouse. Select the SAP DemoCube. You will find the predefined queries under this directory. Select the query you want and choose Open....

Template

You can also create SAP styles in a workbook, in which you have not yet embedded any queries (the supporting tools for this task are currently being prepared). You can group additional structural elements, such as, amongst others, background patterns, pictures, logos, and color schemes in an empty workbook, and then save these as a template. The template for the DemoCube has the description DemoCube Standard Template .

DemoCube Query (DECUQUERY1)

Intended Purpose

This query gives an overview of the net value and cost for the invoice item per quarter. You can navigate according to different criteria, such as distribution channel, division, and material.

Net Value and Cost (QUERY2DECUB)

Intended Purpose

This query gives an overview of the monthly net value and cost for the invoice item, which is broken down according to individual sales employees. You can drilldown according the material.

Quantity Delivered (WARENVB)

Intended Purpose

This query gives an overview of the quantity delivered per sales employee. You can navigate according to the material and distribution channel.

Sold-to Party Sales Information (AUWAVB)

Intended Purpose

This query gives an overview of the net value and cost for the invoice item per sold-to party. You can navigate according to material, division, company code, and distribution channel.
