Personalizing iViews
Your content administrator defines which iViews are available to you and sets the default values of the properties in each iView, where appropriate. The administrator also decides which properties you can personalize.
Each iView property can be set to:
· Hidden: When personalizing an iView, you will not see these properties.
· Read Only: These properties appear in the personalization dialog, but their values cannot be changed.
· Read Write: These properties are editable.
Some examples of properties that you might be allowed to personalize are:
· Changing the size of an iView
· Choosing a different default value from a list of values
· Determining the size of a result set

The figure below illustrates an iView with mixed properties in terms of personalization permissions. You can select the Customer Name from a list of customers. You can choose to display the iView in either a new window, or the content area of your portal, each time it is launched. You can also determine the format in which the date of an order is displayed.
You cannot change the SQL Query property, which formulates the coded question for retrieving the data, or the System Alias Name property, which identifies the system to which you are connecting.

The administrator has made the iView available for personalization. (The administrator may choose not to display the Personalize option in the iView title bar, even if the iView has editable properties.)

To clear changes you made, click Cancel before clicking Apply.
To revert to the default property values set by the administrator, click Reset All Properties.
