Use

Use this screen to create or delete joins.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

·         This is an optional step.

·         The type of join created with this step is an inner join (intersect).

·         Since multiple tables are required for joins, you must have selected fields from multiple tables on the Select Fields screen in order to configure joins. If you have only selected fields from one table, this step is bypassed.

 

Procedure

To add a join condition

...

       1.      From the Left Field drop-down list, select the join field for the left table.

¡        All fields from all the tables you selected on the Select Fields screen are displayed in the drop-down list.

       2.      From the Operator field, select the operator that indicates how the left and right fields should be compared. Available operators are:

       3.      From the Right Field drop-down list, select the join field for the right table.

¡        All fields from all the tables you selected on the Select Fields screen are displayed in the drop-down list.

¡        The Left Field and Right Field selections must be from different tables.

       4.      Click Add to transfer the join to the joins list.

       5.      Repeat steps 1-4 to add additional join conditions. You may add as many joins as you wish.

 

To delete a join condition

       1.      Select an entry in the joins list.

       2.      Click Delete.

 

To continue

Once you have configured joins the way you want (or left the selections blank if you don’t want to define joins), click Next.

 

Result

You proceed to the Configure Filters screen.
