Functions of the BEx Broadcaster 
Use
Using the BEx Broadcaster, you can precalculate and distribute Web templates, queries and workbooks. You can distribute these reporting objects either in precalculated form or as an online link. Your distribution options include sending by e-mail or exporting into the Enterprise Portal.

BEx Broadcaster and Broadcasting Wizard
In the BEx Broadcaster, you can create new broadcast settings with both the broadcaster itself and with a wizard. The broadcasting wizard is an assistant that supports you with step-by-step instructions in the creation of a new setting. Since the setting options are limited with the wizard in comparison to the broadcaster, you have the option of jumping from the wizard to the broadcaster to make further settings as necessary.
Precalculating and Distributing Queries and Web Templates
You can define broadcast settings for the precalculation and distribution of queries or Web templates. You can also define broadcast settings for the generation of online links for these objects and their distribution. Scheduling Broadcast Settings
If you do not want to execute defined broadcast settings immediately, you can schedule them. Distribution occurs at a time set by you. You can find additional information under Scheduling Broadcast Settings.
Information broadcasting is performed based on individual BW objects (Web templates, queries or workbooks). The settings for multiple BW objects cannot be edited simultaneously. However, you are able to combine precalculation of multiple settings using the defined times for broadcast scheduling.
