SAP MI in the Computing Center Management System 

Use

With the Computing Center Management System (CCMS), you as administrator can monitor the systems of SAP MI.

Features

Functions Linked to the CCMS:

·        Configuration

Configuration data of the devices on which the SAP MI Client Component, the SAP MI Server Component and the back-end systems are installed. This includes, for example, information about the relevant processors and storage capacities. For more information see Configuration of the Mobile Device.

·        Heartbeats

Availability data for the back-end systems, SAP MI Client Component, and SAP MI J2EE Server Component. Here, for example, you can check the last synchronization processes (see Checking Synchronization Processes)

·        Job Monitoring

Information about the monitored background jobs.

·        Alerts

SAP MI Client Component messages. These include, for example, warning messages if a certain percentage of the remaining storage is exhausted. You can edit the status of the alerts manually in the detailed display.

·        Logs and Traces

Log and trace information for the SAP MI Client Component and the SAP MI Server Component. This includes, for example, error messages. Here you can check error messages and trace data, mark them as complete and delete them (see Checking Trace and Log in CCMS).

Functions Provided by SAP MI That Support the CCMS:

·        Alert Monitor (transaction MI_ALMON):

With the alert monitor, you can display the alerts that were reported to the CCMS. You can make your selections on the basis of various criteria. The entire history is displayed.

·        Reorganization Tool (transaction MI_ALBACK):

You can clean up the alert files sporadically using the reorganization tool. You can select and deactivate alerts according to various criteria or store them at a given location. The stored alert files can be imported again as needed.
