Purpose

With the Administration Toolkit you can manage SyncBOs, monitor messages, handle errors, clean up process logs and perform other tasks.

Features

      Profile Dialog (see Profile Dialog)

The profile dialog is used to maintain the following Smart Synchronization configuration data:

       Receiver control record

       Handler control record

       Sender control record

       Synchronizer control record

       Device control record (mobile ID)

      Monitoring Tool (see Monitoring Tool)

You can display all the synchronization messages in various views. These include, for example, a statistical overview and a handler worklist view.

Using the inbound and outbound messages, you can display logs of the processes and determine which business data was uploaded and downloaded.

      Log Tool (see Log Tool)

You can display all the editing logs for Smart Synchronization using the log tool. The logs are displayed by process.

You can display all the log data in chronological order. In contrast, the monitoring tool allows you to display the logs according to the synchronization messages.

      Purge Tool (see Purge Tool)

You can delete obsolete, historical runtime data about Smart Synchronization from the system. Since a large amount of data can be transmitted between the SAP MI Server Component and the SAP MI Client Component, it is essential that you, as system administrator, control the overall data volume in the system.

As administrator, you can execute the purge tool manually or automatically using periodical batch jobs.

      Migration Tool (see Migration Tool)

You can transport the SyncBO definitions from one SAP Web AS to another. You can use this tool, for example, to transport from the test system to the production system when you have completed your tests.

The following options exist:

Export of SyncBOs (to a flat file or a transport file)

Import of SyncBOs (from a flat file or from a transport file)

Deletion of Obsolete Mobile IDs (see Deletion of Obsolete Mobile IDs)

You can delete obsolete mobile IDs for deleted applications and for devices that have not synchronized for a certain time.

Consistency Check (see Consistency Check for SyncBOs of Type T51)

After a system crash, you can check the consistency of data for SyncBOs of Type T51.

Upload and Download of BWAFMAPP Entries (see Upload and Download of BWAFMAPP Entries)

During upgrade or system overwrite, you can use this tool to upload and download BWAFMAPP entries (only relevant for applications using Generic Synchronization).
