Structure
The following graphic illustrates how the Coverage Analyzer and ABAP Interpreter interact:

Application Server
The Coverage Analyzer monitors object calls on one or several application servers via RFCs. The status of the main switch is represented by an internal flag. The main switch must be switched on (status = X) to allow runtime information to be recorded.
Counters
The counters Count1 and RABAX1 indicate the number of programs executed and runtime errors since the Coverage Analyzer was started. These remain unchanged even after a program reset. Reset indicates how often the program was reset since it was started. Count2 and RABAX2 indicate the number of programs executed and runtime errors since the last reset, and, therefore, provide the data for the current version of a program.
Aggregation
This function enables you to check several systems simultaneously using the Coverage Analyzer. The aggregation function includes processing blocks from the local server with those from other systems in the analysis. The aggregated systems must have the same Release status > 4.6C.
The example in the following graphic shows how four systems [S1, S4] with a total of four processing blocks [V1, V4] are aggregated. The names of the processing blocks used are inverted and underlined.

In this example, the aggregated degree of coverage is 100% because each processing block is called up at least once in all the systems. In the local systems, the degree of coverage is only 25% for S1 – S3 and 75% for S4. A degree of coverage > 0 is achieved if the conditions defined under
Settings are fulfilled.
Standard Functions
The standard functions of the ABAP List Viewer (ALV) are available in most screens of the Coverage Analyzer. These functions are accompanied by pushbuttons, which trigger special functions of the Coverage Analyzer.

You can also display results in
graphic form. You can select rows or columns here. If you select a particular row in the first column, for example, and then choose Display graphic, the results for that particular row are displayed in accordance with the format settings. If you select a column by clicking the column header, and then choose Display graphic, all of the individual values in that column are displayed in accordance with the format settings. If you want to display several rows or columns, you have to click these with the left mouse button while pressing the <Ctrl> key. To specify how the graphic are formatted, double-click a graphic element and make the appropriate settings in the Format popup.
