Monitored Hosts, Servers, and
Landscapes 
You can use the Monitoring Console to centrally monitor your entire IT environment. The objects in this environment build a tree hierarchy:

Groups systems by topic or from a technical point of view; when you first use the Monitoring Console, the landscape Local already exists, and contains the local system

to the Monitoring Console. If you want to monitor other systems, you can add

Database associated with the relevant system; the databases Oracle and mySAP SQL MaxDB are supported in the first version of the Monitoring Console |
System-Wide Services |
Contains performance values for services that exist once per system; in this first version of the Monitoring Console you can monitor the background service here |
Application Server |
Application server of the relevant system |
Host |
Host of the application server; operating system data for the relevant host is displayed here |
