BW Workbook as Precalculated Document in Knowledge Management 

Use

BW workbooks are MS Excel workbooks with one or more embedded BW queries. You are able to include a BW workbook that was created as a precalculated document in Knowledge Management on a portal page (in the form of an iView).

Features

BW workbooks as precalculated documents can be created using the BEx Broadcaster. For more information, see Precalculating and Distributing Workbooks.

The precalculated documents with historic data are stored in Knowledge Management (not in the BW system).

You are able to create iViews with precalculated BW workbooks using the portal content studio. The iViews are of type KM Document iView and have the code link com.sap.km.cm.docs. The most important property is the path to the document. Using the KM Content iView from the Content Administration role of the SAP Enterprise Portal, you are able to determine the associated path to the document.
