iView Options

Opens a menu containing the following items:

·        Add to Portal Favorites. Lets you save the iView in your Portal Favorites iView. This option appears only if the iView runs as a full page application.

·        Details: A new window opens displaying the iView’s portal component and object ID. This information should be passed on to an administrator performing troubleshooting on an iView that is not functioning properly.

·        Help. Appears only when a specific property has been implemented during development

·        Open in New Window: Opens the iView in a separate window

·        Refresh: Updates the iView data by reloading the content retrieved by the iView

·        Personalize: Opens a personalization window, displaying parameters you can customize

If the iView does not contain any parameters that can be personalized or viewed, the personalization window is blank

·        Remove: Allows you to delete an iView from its page; the iView remains as part of the portal content and can be returned to the page

If the iView has been locked to the page by the administrator, this option does not appear.

An administrator can hide any of these menu options.

It is possible that you may receive other menu options that were created by content developers in your company.

OBN iView

Displays in the working environment; indicates an iView that accesses a business object whose records have been defined as object-based navigation

In order to navigate with this type of iView, you need to click this icon beside the record you want to use, and select the operation you want from the displayed context menu. The menu items represent the various types of information that the iView can retrieve from its business object.

Depending upon the type of iView, and the results it displays, there are a number of other icons and arrows that you may see. The content developer determines which icons an iView will display.
