Specifying the Connection Type 

An ABAP connection has the connection type 3. You have called transaction SM59 and selected the required connection. You are now on the initial screen for your destination in transaction SM59.

 

Click the Connection Type field and select a connection type from the dropdown list.

Durch klicken auf dieses Eingabefeld erscheint eine Auswahlhilfe. Klicken Sie auf diese und wählen Sie in dem erscheinenden Popup-Fenster ihren Verbindungstyp.

 

 

Im Feld Beschreibung können Sie relevante Informationen über diese RFC-Destination angeben.

·        I   Connection to an application server with the same database

·        3   Connection to an ABAP system

·        2   Connection to an R/2 system

·        T   Start an external program using TCP/IP

·        L   Reference entry (refers to another destination)

·        S   Start an external program using SNA or APPC

·        X   RFC with special ABAP drive routines

·        M   CMC connection

·        H   HTTP connection to an ABAP system

·        G   HTTP connection to an external server

 

 

In the Description field, you can enter additional information about the RFC connection.
