Overview: Integration- and Display Types of BW
Content in the Portal 
You can integrate content from SAP BW into SAP EP using various tools. Depending on the type of integration, you create different objects with different displays in the portal.
You have a variety of options for displaying BW objects in the Enterprise Portal. The various display types are summarized in the table that follows.

Web-based BI application that is displayed as an iView in the Enterprise Portal (for example, BEx Web Analyzer). BEx Web Applications are Web templates executed in the Web that are created using the BEx Web Application Designer. |

You can distribute the content from SAP BW to the Enterprise Portal using Information Broadcasting. This includes the tools BEx Broadcaster and BEX Broadcasting Wizard, as well as the BEx Web Application Designer and the BEx Query Designer. For more information, see Information Broadcasting.

This HTML page functions as a basis for BEx Web applications with complex interactions, such as BI cockpits. You can save the BEx Web applications as a URL and access them from an intranet or on mobile devices. In addition, you can integrate BEx Web applications into an Enterprise Portal. |

Tool for defining queries that are based on a selection of characteristics and key figures (InfoObjects) or on reusable structures of an InfoProvider. You can use the queries as the basis for data analysis and reporting in various areas of the Business Explorer (such as in the BEx Analyzer or in BEx Web Applications) or integrate them into Enterprise Portal. |
