Session Mode

The Structure linkDatabase Manager CLI program offers various Structure linkOperating Modes. If you do not perform any other actions, you are working in  Structure linkcommand mode. Creating and terminating a session to execute a command are very expensive. We therefore recommend the use of the Structure linksession mode. The use of a session is even necessary in some cases, if a successive command is to be made in a certain status that can only be created by a preceding command in the same session (for example, transactions).

To activate or deactivate session mode, choose Activate the DBM Session Mode or Deactivate the DBM Session Mode.
