Database Assistant 
The Database Assistant (also known as the DB Assistant) is a tool for database administration in CCMS. You can administer local or remote database instances (with the exception of liveCache instances).
In the MaxDB/liveCache System Overview, select the desired database instance and choose Goto ® Assistant (transaction DB50 or DB50N).

In the user menu, choose Database: Monitoring and Configuration ® Database Assistant (transaction DB50).
or
In the DBA Planning Calendar, choose Environment ® Assistant.
You
can display the properties of the
database
instance.

CLI program offers various
Operating Modes.
If you do not perform any other actions, you are working in
command mode.
Creating and terminating a session to execute a command are very expensive. We
therefore recommend the use of the
session mode. The
use of a session is even necessary in some cases, if a successive command is
to be made in a certain status that can only be created by a preceding command
in the same session (for example, transactions).
To activate or deactivate session mode, choose Activate the DBM Session Mode or Deactivate the DBM Session Mode.
