Specifying the Host Name and Service
Number
Under Technical Settings ® Target System Settings, you must enter the target host (host name) and the service number (or system number). You can also specify the load distribution and whether you want to save the target host as an IP address or host name.
Under Gateway Options, you can enter the gateway host and gateway service. If you have more than one application server in an SAP system, and one of these servers is registered, then you must enter the gateway options if you want to communicate with this registered server program.
You do not need to enter gateway options in our example of communication between two SAP systems.
