Function documentation Administration Roles  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The portal provides several administrator-specific roles with the portal. The default administration tools supplied with the portal are allocated to these roles, based on their relevancy to the intended task of each administrator.

You can customize the pre-configured role structures so that the standard tools shipped with the portal align with the administrative groups in your working environment. If needed, you may also create new administrative roles and then reassign the necessary worksets or iViews. See also Delegated Administration.

Features

The following table provides further information about the standard administration roles shipped with the portal:

By default, the super administrator role has also been assigned portal permissions for all initial content objects shipped with the portal. For more information, see Default Permissions.

Note

Upon installing the portal, your company's user base must be connected to the portal, so that the super administrator may begin distributing these administrator roles to the relevant users.
