You can monitor SAP MI on the server and on the mobile devices in the following ways:

You can monitor SAP MI in the Computing Center Management System (CCMS) (see SAP MI in the Computing Center Management System). The following functions (among others) are available there:

       Checking Synchronization Processes

Checking the Configuration of the Mobile Device

Checking the Trace and Log in the CCMS

You can execute tracing on the mobile device. To do this, the user must activate the tracing function on the mobile device (see Activating Tracing on the Mobile Device). If system performance problems arise in relation to SAP MI, you can also measure system performance on the mobile device (see Measuring System Performance on the Mobile Device ).

You can monitor the mobile devices using the Device Maintenance function in the Mobile Administrator. You can display the status, filter by devices with errors, check the client configuration files (see Checking Client Configuration Files) and switch to the detailed error display (see Using the Expert Tool for Error Analysis).

You can monitor the synchronization process using monitors in the Mobile Administrator (see Monitoring the Synchronization Process).

You can monitor various properties of the mobile device, such as the battery capacity. To do this, functions have been provided that you can apply to the mobile device by means of device configurations (see Functions for Monitoring and Controlling the Mobile Device).

The tools of the administration toolkit allow you to monitor Smart Synchronization (see Administration Toolkit).
