Changing Node Groups

       2.      To apply changes, choose Partitions.

       3.      You can now add or delete partitions:

¡        To add partitions, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Add Partition.

The system automatically suggests a new partition that has not yet been defined in the node group. You can modify this suggestion by manually selecting another partition.

¡        To delete partitions, select one or more lines in the table and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Delete Partition.

       4.      To confirm your entries, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Execute.

Adding Node Groups

...

       1.      On the Configuration: Node Groups screen, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Add.

The Configuration: Node Group Maintenance – Add Node Group screen appears.

Note

By default, all available partitions are listed to be part of the new node group. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Delete Partition if you want to reduce this list.

       2.      Specify a name for the new node group.

Recommendation

We recommend that you use uppercase letters for the node group name. Using lowercase letters or special characters makes accessing the selected node group with the DB2 command line processor less comfortable.

       3.      To confirm your entries, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Add.

Deleting Node Groups

...

       1.      On the Configuration: Node Groups screen, select a node group.

       2.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Delete.

The Configuration: Node Group Maintenance – Delete Node Group screen appears.

       3.      To delete the selected node group, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Delete.

Caution

You cannot delete node groups that contain tablespaces that are still being used by the SAP system.

You must delete the tablespaces first.

SQL Statements

In the lower half of the Configuration: Node Group Maintenance screen, an editor is displayed that shows the generated SQL statement(s) that will be executed. This area is automatically filled and refreshed if any changes were applied correctly.
