Use

You want to set up communication between two SAP systems. This is the same as connection type 3 and is described in the following.

 

Prerequisite: Definition of the Destination in SM59

To enable qRFC communications, the destination must be defined in the sending system. To define a destination, use transaction SM59.

 

Procedure

       1.      Call transaction SM59 in the system where you want to run the communications.

       2.      On the Configuration of RFC Connections screen, choose the path ABAP Connections.

       3.      Expand the tree under SAP Connections and double-click the required connection. On the following screen, you see the properties and configuration options of the connection.

Result

You must now make the following entries:

§         Specify the connection type

§         Specify the host name and service number

§         Logon/Security
