Database Reorganization

You can reduce the volume of data and to create a consistent dataset.

Prerequisites

You have administration authorization for the Knowledge Warehouse.

You are in folder administration in processing mode Change.

The version references (VERSIONREF) were correctly maintained when the context was changed.

The translation references (TRANSLREF) were correctly maintained.

Functionality

The report starts several background jobs in order to reorganize the objects.

The number of background jobs depends on the number of folders selected and the maximum number of folders to be reorganized in each background job.

Only the information objects (maintenance format and display format) that satisfy one of the following criteria are deleted:

Attribute STATE = "0000" and attribute CHECKED_OUT = " "
Attribute STATE ¹ "0000" and IWB_STATE <> "RELEASED" and there is no incoming "TRANSLREF" – reference to the physical object, and there is still another physical object with the same context that is not deleted
Attribute STATE ¹ "0000" and IWB_STATE = "RELEASED" and option Also delete released objects was selected and there is no incoming "TRANSLREF" reference to the physical object, and there is another physical object with the same context that is not deleted

Options

Execute in test mode

There is only a test run that counts the number of physical information objects to be deleted.

Nothing is changed in the database.

Also delete released objects

If this parameter is selected, those released information objects that satisfy the deletion conditions are also deleted.

If you do not select this parameter, released objects are not deleted.

Max. no. of folders

You can specify how many folders should be reorganized in one background job.

Activities

You start the reorganization in the initial screen of folder administration with Goto ® Reorganization ® Schedule.
