ICF Scenarios 
Use
The Internet Communication Framework (ICF) is an integrated component of the SAP Web Application Server. The ICF realizes the processing of HTTP, HTTPS or SMTP requests in the ABAP work processes of an SAP system. SAP Web AS can process these requests through the ICF as a server or as a client.
This section describes the security measures you need to take to set up secure connections through the ICF.
The following security advice applies regardless of the ICF scenario you use (SAP-SAP or SAP-external system).
