Displaying Folder Contents with Broadcasting
Layout Profile 
Use
With the Broadcasting layout profile, you are able to display the precalculated objects or online links that you have published to a KM folder with the BEx Broadcaster, BEx Query Designer or BEx Web Application Designer.
This layout profile has been tailored to the needs of users that work with business intelligence content in the Enterprise Portal. It is a default setting in the KM navigation iViews BEx Portfolio and My Portfolio in the Business Explorer Portal Role.
You can apply the layout profile to the KM folder that you use for your business intelligence content.
Technical name of the Broadcasting layout profile: ConsumerBroadcasting.
Features
The Broadcasting layout profile provides access to standard KM functions and includes the following BW-specific information:
The BW-specific
symbols 
Query, 
Web
Template and 
Workbook show you at a glance which
type of object it is. The entry Precalculation Date shows the date upon
which the document was precalculated. Beyond that, the Importance of
the document, which the sender specified during broadcasting, is also
displayed. The symbols 
New and 
Read
on help you to differentiate between documents that have already been read
and documents that have just arrived.
In addition – if available – a short description of the document contents that the sender provided during broadcast setting is displayed.

With precalculated documents from Web templates and queries, you have the option of calling the online link for this query or Web application with the current data, in addition to calling the precalculated document with the historic data.
Under More,
choose the Online Link menu option . The system opens a new browser
window and displays the current data for the associated Web application or
query in the BEx Web Analyzer. You are able to navigate within the data and
can redistribute it as needed. For more information, see BEx Web

Activities
To set up the display for a folder with the Broadcasting layout profile, choose Settings ® Display in the Details dialog for the folder. Select the Broadcasting layout profile and save your entries.
