Procedure documentation   Switching On and Off Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

This menu option indicates in the top part of the screen whether the Coverage Analyzer, automatic recording for the global view, and data aggregation are actually switched on. A red traffic light indicates that the corresponding function is switched off. Yellow indicates that the function is in the process of being switched on. Green indicates that the function has been switched on.

This part of the screen also contains the pushbuttons with which you can switch the Coverage Analyzer and automatic recording for the global view on and off.

·         By choosing Detail in Switch Coverage Analyzer On/Off, you can display the number of programs that have been initialized.

·         By choosing Detail in Switch Automatic Recording On/Off, you can display the automatic recording period and the version number for the global view.

·         By choosing Detail in Switch Data Aggregation from Different Remote Systems On/Off, you can  display the background server and all of the other systems whose results are used for data aggregation.

At the bottom of the screen, all of the application servers are listed on which the SAP system to be monitored is installed. By choosing Start and Stop, you can switch each of the servers on and off individually. The default color of the Exception column is red, which then changes to green after the server has been switched on. If the traffic light for a particular server is yellow, either an RFC problem has occurred or the database and shared memory are not consistent with each other. The servers that are actually running when this information is displayed are flagged in the up column.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

By choosing Detail <-> Overview, you can display additional information on each server. Otherwise, the functions of the icons and pushbuttons described in Technology are available for all the objects displayed.
