Integration Using the Role Menu and the Alert Monitor 

Use

The Web item Role Menu and the Web item Alert Monitor enable content from SAP BW to be called directly from a BEx Web application.

Features

The Role Menu displays BEx Web applications, queries and external links for the selected roles to which you can jump.

The Alert Monitor displays the list of queries in which an exception has been discovered in the Reporting Agent. The alert monitor entries serve as jump options to the associated queries which are being displayed with the Standard Web Template for Ad-hoc Analysis.

You can insert both Web items into a BEx Web application with the BEx Web Application Designer.  You can find more information under Creating Web Applications with the BEx Web Application Designer.

You can then include this BEx Web application in the portal as in iView.

Because of the option of calling other content, both Web items are especially suitable for inclusion in Dynamic Navigation (see Content from SAP BW in the Navigation Panel).
