Background documentation Configuration: Node Groups (DB2 UDB for UNIX and Windows) Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

You can access information on available node groups by calling the DBA Cockpit and choosing Configuration ® Node Groups in the navigation frame of the DBA Cockpit. The Configuration: Node Groups screen appears.

The following information is displayed:

Column

Description

Node Group

Name of the node group

Partition

Number of the partition

Status

Current status of the partition. The following values are possible:

  • Status information not available

Displayed for node group IBMTEMPGROUP or if the status cannot be determined.

  • Partition not in partitioning map; containers not yet created

Partition has been created without containers and is not yet referenced in the partitioning map.

  • Partition not in partitioning map; containers created

Partition and containers have been created, but partition is not yet referenced in the partitioning map.

  • Partition in partitioning map; containers created
  • Partition will be dropped after next redistribution

The list of node groups contains all node groups of which the selected partition is a member. If you choose All in the Partition field, all available node groups will be displayed.

In addition, you can maintain node groups, that is change, add or delete them. For more information, see Maintaining Node Groups.
