SAP for Media is a solution for media companies, in which cross-industry functions in the mySAP Business Suite are used and combined with a collection of automated processes and tools that have been developed specifically for the media industry.

SAP for Media covers the following industry-specific components and solutions in addition to the cross-industry functions:

The InfoAreas in SAP for Media are derived from these media-specific components and solutions. The InfoArea Media General is added to these media-specific InfoAreas.

While the InfoAreas Advertising Management, Media Sales and Distribution, Media Product Sales and Distribution, and Product Lifecycle Management for Media describe the evaluation objects specific to the components and solutions, the InfoAreas for Media General and the Media Business Partner describe the evaluation objects that are valid in several components and solutions.

The InfoAreas Media Business Partner, Media Product Sales and Distribution, Product Lifecycle Management, Advertising Management, Media Business Partner, and Media Sales and Distribution are available in the Administrator Workbench under Industries ® Media Companies. The Intellectual Property Management InfoArea is found under Customer Relationship Management ® Intellectual Property Management.
