Configuring Percentage Growth
Parameters 
Use this screen to configure the parameters specific to the Percentage Growth template. See Percentage Growth (OLAP) for the description, business question, and workflow for using this template.

1. In the Calculate section of the screen, select the measure for which you want to calculate growth from the Absolute percentage growth of measure drop-down list. This list shows all the measures in the cube on which the query is based.
2. In the For Members of section of the screen, select the level that contains the members you want to see in the query’s result using the parameters in the table below:

3. In the Between Base and Comparison Periods section of the screen, configure the base and comparison periods for the percentage growth according to the parameters in the table below:

4. Click Next.
You proceed to the Define Filters screen.
The result of a Percentage Growth query is displayed in a table with five columns such as the below:

A percentage growth result may not always show a growth trend, as you can see from the sample results above. You may see a decrease or decline (negative value) in your growth result.
This template is similar to the Rank Change template, but it doesn't perform a Top N calculation to select the members of the base period. The results are expressed as a percentage change from the base period.
