Working With BW Query Views
If you have selected a BW-native (Business Information Warehouse) data service (from the BW Web API Connections category on the Select a System screen), the BI Query Wizard allows you to select and display available query views in that system. Since you cannot create and store new queries in a BW system using the BI Query Wizard, query templates are unavailable in this case.
· In order to work with BW query views, ensure that the query view's Web service is first activated in the BW system. For additional information, see the SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com/nw04/, [select language], and select the path Information Integration ® SAP Business Information Warehouse ® Additional Development Technologies ® Open Analysis Interfaces ® Web Service for Accessing Query Data.
· You must configure the suffix to the URL for your BW Web service in order for BW query views to display properly. To do this:
...
a. From the Visual Composer Tools menu, choose Options.
b. Select the Portal tab.
c. In the BW Query View WS suffix field, enter the suffix to your query view URL. If you need help determining this suffix, contact your BW System Administrator.

BW queries saved with mandatory SAP Variables are not supported.
The process flow for working with BW-native data services in the BI Query Wizard is as follows:
...
After you have completed the wizard screens according to the process above and clicked Finish, you return to the Visual Composer workspace, where a new data service has been created with the query view you have selected.
A BW-native data service created with the BI Query Wizard is configured automatically with a start input and an HTML view on the URL port that generates the Web template for the BW query you selected. These three elements together constitute a complete iView, ready for preview and deployment to your portal.
To continue working with your data service and query, see Working With Queries.

The MDX Editor is not available for BW-native data services.
