Transferring Changed Property Values to Rooms
or Room Parts
When creating a room or adding a room part to a room, the system uniquely assigns a copy of the workset associate with the template to the room or room part. Copies of worksets that are assigned to rooms or room parts are not accessible and therefore cannot be changed in the Portal Content Directory (PCD).
However, you can transfer changed values for the iView properties to existing rooms, if you have changed theworksets for the room templates or room part templates.
For security reasons, you can limit the transfer of property values to rooms or room parts to individual areas of the company. Therefore, you must have permission to use the templates in your area of responsibility. The permissions are defined in the master data for the templates.

1. Call up the iView in the portal catalog as follows:
2. Choose the tab page for transferring the property values to rooms or room parts.
3. Limit the scope of the transfer. You can include all templates or one page or iView in a template.

The transfer of changed property values in the templates can cause problems in the affected rooms or room parts. Therefore, it is safer to perform the transfer in several smaller steps and to check the results of each transfer.
4. In the list of available iView properties, choose those properties for which the system is to transfer the values.
5. Optional: To restrict the transfer of the property values to a specific room, enter the room ID.
6. Start the transfer.
The system transfers changed values for the selected iView properties to the affected rooms or room parts and issues a log.
You change the height of the room member list in the room template and transfer the new value to all rooms based on the template.
