Deployment no longer needs to be performed for part of the mobile components. They are already available after the installation of SAP NetWeaver.

As an alternative to the SAP MI Web Console, which has been used until now to deploy mobile components on the server, the Software Deployment Manager (SDM), the standard tool from SAP NetWeaver can now be used (see Structure linkDeployment of Mobile Applications). In this case, the new SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator must be used to manage SAP MI instead of the SAP MI Web Console.

In order for deployment with the SDM to be able to be performed for the mobile components, the archive has to have the appropriate format. You can use the archive converter in the Mobile Administrator to help you do this. For more information, see Structure linkArchive Converter.
