Synchronizing Data Carriers with the Back End 

Use

You can synchronize data from the mobile device that the user stored on one or more data carriers with the back end.

Prerequisites

·        You activated and configured data carrier synchronization for the mobile device and the server (see Defining Data Carrier Synchronization).

·        At least one application is already installed on the mobile device.

·        No new applications should be installed on the device with the next synchronization.

·        You or the user stored the data from the mobile device on one or more data carriers.

·        You are in the Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

       1.      Choose Data Carrier Synchronization.

The data carrier synchronization wizard helps you through the process.

       2.      At the end of the process, download the generated files and save them to a data carrier. If you want to use a CD or DVD, copy the files to a temporary directory and then burn them on the appropriate data carrier.

       3.      Give the user the data carrier.
