Procedure documentation Displaying Mobile Devices and Editing Properties Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

To display the status of a device and to edit its properties, you perform a search. By doing so, you can determine whether only those devices with errors or only those without errors are to be displayed. Once the search has completed, you can see the status of, and detailed information about, every mobile device.

Procedure

...

       1.      Change to the function Device Maintenance.

       2.      Specify the search criteria. You can use * as a wildcard.

For example, you can search for devices of a particular user or show only those devices where errors have occurred.

       3.      Start the search.

       4.      The devices are displayed with their status.

       5.      Select the device you want to display the details for or whose properties you want to change.

       6.      You can see the detailed information at the bottom of the tab page. You can edit the properties of the device here:

Under Details you can assign a name to the device.

Under Mobile Components you can assign or remove mobile components.

Under Device Configuration you can assign or remove device configurations.

Under Users you can see which users the device is assigned to.

Under Errors you can see the errors that have occurred. You can use the Expert Tool to change to the monitoring tool for Smart Synchronization (see Using the Expert Tool for Error Analysis).

For more information on error detection and monitoring, see Error Detection and Monitoring.

Under Configuration Files you can display and download the client configuration files of the device (see Checking Client Configuration Files).
