Switching Data Transfer to the New
InfoSources
New DataSources and InfoSources have been created to further improve the performance and stability of the BI integration of the CPH data (see InfoSources for Transferring CPH Data to the BW)).
If you are already transferring CPH data to the BW and are using the old InfoSource 0CCMS_CPH_DATA, you can switch the data extraction to the new InfoSources as follows:
...
1. Import the required Support Packages, as specified in InfoSources for Transferring CPH Data to the BW.
2. Perform a last delta upload using the old InfoSource 0CCMS_CPH_DATA.
3. Ensure that no more data is transferred using the old InfoSource, for example, by deleting the InfoSource or removing the scheduling for the associated job.
4. Replicate the following DataSources:
¡ CCMS: DataSource for the Extraction of CPH Data (Alternative)
¡ CCMS: DataSource for the Extraction of CPH Data (Delta Init)
¡ CCMS: DataSource for the Extraction of CPH Data (Delta Update)
¡ CCMS: DataSource for the Extraction of CPH Data (Delta Repeat)
5. Link the InfoSource with the associated DataSource.

Note that the technical names of the DataSources differ depending on the release status (the technical names are contained in the above documentation for the DataSources). You must therefore repeat the linking of the InfoSource with the associated DataSource during an upgrade.
6. If you want to use the InfoSource 0CCMS_CPH_DATA_ALTERNATIV (see the recommendation in InfoSources for Transferring CPH Data to the BW), create two InfoPackages for this InfoSource. These should differ in the following details:
¡ An InfoPackage for initializing the delta process. To do this, on the Update tab page, choose the radio button Initialize Delta Process. Schedule this InfoPackage for a single execution.
¡ An InfoPackage for the delta update. To do this, on the Update tab page, choose the radio button Delta Update. Schedule this InfoPackage for daily execution.
7. If you want to use the 0CCMS_CPH_DATA_DELTA* InfoSources, create the following InfoPackages:
¡ An InfoPackage for the InfoSource 0CCMS_CPH_DATA_DELTAINIT. Schedule this InfoPackage for a single execution.
¡ An InfoPackage for the InfoSource 0CCMS_CPH_DATA_DELTA. Schedule this InfoPackage for daily execution. Ensure that you are using the same selection criteria as for the InfoPackage for the InfoSource 0CCMS_CPH_DATA_DELTAINIT, since the settings are not automatically transferred from the delta init selection.
¡ An InfoPackage for the InfoSource 0CCMS_CPH_DATA_DELTAREPEAT. Since this InfoPackage is only required for troubleshooting, you do not need to schedule it. If you use this InfoPackage, assign identical selection criteria to those for the failed delta upload in each case.

You can improve the performance of the loading of (delta) data using parallel processing. Since you can specify selection criteria in the InfoPackages for delta extraction (InfoSource 0CCMS_CPH_DATA_DELTA), you can distribute the loading of the data across multiple InfoPackages. The following distribution makes sense:
· Create an InfoPackage for each time resolution (minute, 15 minutes, hour, day). In this way, you are utilizing the fact that the CPH data for a time resolution is in exactly one InfoCube. Therefore, specify a time resolution (1 Minute, 15 Minutes, 1 Hour, 1 Day) as a selection criterion for each InfoPackage in 0CCM_RES, and ensure on the Data Targets tab page that only the relevant InfoCube is supplied (0CPH_MIN, 0CPH_15M, 0CPH_HOUR, 0CPH_DAY).
· Create an InfoPackage for each Aggregation Type (Day, Week, Month, ...). In this way, you can utilize the fact that coarse aggregation types usually only need to be extracted less often (data of the aggregation type Day, for example, should be extracted daily, for coarser granularities, less frequent extractions are sufficient). There fore, specify a granularity (Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year) as a selection criterion for each InfoPackage in 0CCM_ATYP. Specify an appropriate period for the extraction job in each case.
· Combine the two distributions above. When dividing the data extraction across multiple InfoPackages, you only need to ensure that the selections cannot overlap.
