Configuration of Mobile Devices 

The configuration of  SAP MI on the mobile device is stored in the MobileEngine.config file. You can change the configuration in various ways:

·        Using device- and monitoring configurations for mobile devices that are already operating (recommended)

Use this option for the driver configuration, the configuration of the monitoring functions, and the configuration of the behavior of SAP MI on the mobile device (for more information, see Configuration of Mobile Devices Using Device Configurations).

·        Using a new, preconfigured installation file (for new installations only)

Use this option to install mobile devices for the first time (see Preconfiguration of SAP MI Client (optional)).

·        Using a configuration file that you transfer to the mobile device as an add-on by deployment (only in exceptional cases).

Use this option for configuration parameters in the MobileEngine.config file only that you cannot define in a monitoring configuration (see Configuration of Mobile Devices Using the Configuration File).

·        Using the transaction ME_RTRACE to configure tracing (see Activating Tracing on the Mobile Devices)
