Property

Value

Description

ume.notification.
admin_email

E-Mail address, for example admin@mycompany.com.

This e-mail address must be valid as the system uses the address as a destination to send e-mails to.

When users send notification e-mails to administrators, the e-mails are sent to this e-mail address.

Use this property to send all administrator requests to one central e-mail address, instead of sending the e-mail to several administrators.

ume.notification.

Default value is TRUE.

The system sends an e-mail to the user when the administrator approves the user.

ume.notification.

The system sends an e-mail to the user when the user’s account is created by batch upload.

ume.notification.

ume.notification.

ume.notification.
delete_performed

Default value is TRUE.

The system sends an e-mail to the user when the administrator deletes the user’s account.

ume.notification.
email_asynch

Default value is TRUE.

Enable to send e-mail asynchronously. This improves system performance.

When the system sends mails asynchronously, programs do not need to wait for the e-mail server to respond. Instead a separate processor handles sending the e-mail.

ume.notification.
lock_performed

Default value is TRUE.

The system sends an e-mail to the user when the administrator locks the user’s account.

ume.notification.
mail_host

SMTP server name, for example, mail.example.com

SMTP server for e-mail notification.

Make sure that the SMTP server accepts e-mails from and sends e-mails to all domains that users may have in your environment. It is especially important that administrators have an e-mail address that the STMP server accepts.

ume.notification.
pswd_reset_performed

Default value is TRUE.

The system sends an e-mail to the user when his or her password has been reset.

ume.notification.
pswd_reset_request

Default value is TRUE.

The system sends an e-mail from the user to the administrator requesting that the user’s password be reset.

ume.notification.
selfreg_performed

Default value is TRUE.

The system sends an e-mail from the administrator to the user, informing the user that self-registration was successful.

ume.notification.
system_email

Dummy e-mail address, for example admin@example.com.

This e-mail address does not necessarily have to exist.

This e-mail address appears as the sender in notification mails sent from an administrator to a user.

This enables administrators to conceal their true e-mail address from users.

The system also uses this address as the default sender if a mail is sent on behalf a user, who has no e-mail address.

ume.notification.
unlock_performed

Default value is TRUE.

The system sends an e-mail to the user when the administrator unlocks the user’s account.

ume.notification.
update_by_batch_performed

Default value is TRUE.

The system sends an e-mail to the user when the user’s account is updated by batch upload.

ume.notification.
workflow_email

Dummy e-mail address, for example workflow@example.com.

This e-mail address does not necessarily have to exist.

This e-mail address appears as the sender in notification mails sent from a user to an administrator.

This enables administrators to sort notification e-mails into a separate folder by filtering their e-mails according to the sender address.

If you set this property, it is important that the user ID appears in the text of the e-mail.

ume.user_logon_
problem_request

Default value is TRUE.

The system sends an e-mail to the administrator when user requests help with logon problems.
